"My first inspiration for this perfume was a wonderful trip to Wadi Darbat, in the south of Oman. A very special place in the Middle East, as all of India's monsoons end here. Instead of the dryness and desert that one would expect, this region is fertile and botanically extremely diverse: wide rivers, large trees and a special treasure of this region, the Sidar tree or Syrian Christ thorn.

The Sidar tree has nothing in common with the cedar. It is an ancient tree variety that bears beautiful red fruits and magnificent flowers. Thanks to these flowers, local bees produce the richest, most exclusive and characteristic honey imaginable. It is very well known in Yemen under the name "Sidr Honey". I had the opportunity to spend a few days there with a botanist and "frankincense farmer". This experience inspired me to create a perfume that captures the different facets of Sidar honey and its natural environment."
